Imo is one of the 36 states of Nigeria and lies in the South East of Nigeria with Owerri as its capital and largest city. Located in the south-eastern region of Nigeria , it occupies the area between the lower River Niger and the upper and middle Imo River .   BRIEF HISTORY IGEDE is an ethnic group in Nigeria mostly found in Benue and Cross River state. Other IGEDE can be found in Ebonyi and Ekiti state.
