About Oguta and Orashi river in Imo state

One of such wonders is hiding in  Nigeria , in Imo  state, within the rainforests of the  Niger-Delta . In Imo State, there are two angry rivers flow side-by-side without ever coming together, namely Oguta Lake and Orashi river. Water flows into it mainly from the Njaba river and to a lesser degree, the  Uju ,  Awbana  and  Urashi   rivers. It is two of these rivers that flow side-by-side, parallel to each other, without ever coming together. Oguta Lake is a lean finger lake formed by the damming of the lower Njaba river, it is the largest natural lake, it is popularly known as Ogbuide while Orashi is a river of the lower Niger River basin, and a tributary of Oguta Lake and they are both in Imo State, Southeastern Nigeria The Mystery behind Orashi and Ogbuide: 2 Igbo Rivers that cannot come together no matter how you try. However the Lake Consist of two very angry rivers, called Orashi and Ogbuide. The two rivers can never mix no matter how you try, and they also has different colour.

ABOUT THE IGEDE CULTURE OF BENUE STATE

  BRIEF HISTORY IGEDE is an ethnic group in Nigeria mostly found in Benue and Cross River state. Other IGEDE can be found in Ebonyi and Ekiti state. According to ORA tradition, the IGEDE people formally settled around Sabongida ORA in the present Owan West local government, Edo North, in the South-South region of Nigeria. This is the bone of contention that ultimately forced the IGEDE people out of their original homeland. Presently, the IGEDE natives are found in four or more states of the federation including Benue, Cross River, Ekiti, and Ebonyi states. ABOUT UGWUEME IN AGWU LGA OF ENUGU STATE, NIGERIA

  Agwu is the headquarters of AGWU LGA of Enugu state, Nigeria. It is the Orientation Training Centre for National Youth Service corps members posted to Enugu State. It shares boundary withAninri LGA and Ivo LGA of Ebonyi State in the East,Nkanu West LGAs, in the west by Oji River LGA and north by Udi. The present day Agwu was carved out of the greater Agwu local govt area which include Aninri and orji river local govt areas. Agwu market is known as Orie Agwu which opens every four market days, vvarious farm products are been sold in the market on wholesale and retail every four days. Many people from different communities takes their farm produce to sell in the market in exchange for other commodities they cannot produce. People from far and near like Nkanu and Enugu urban comes to Orie market for purchasing of produce especially vegetables and cassava.
