                            FOCUS ON DELTA STATE CULTURE AND TOURISM Delta or Delta State is an oil and agricultural producing state of Nigeria, situated in the region known as the South-South geo-political zone with a population of 4,098,291 (males: 2,674,306; females: 2,024,085). [3] Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala , the former Federal Minister of Finance and Coordinating of Economy and former World Bank Managing Director, is from the state. The capital city is Asaba , located at the northern end of the state, with an estimated area of 762 square kilometres (294 sq mi), while Warri is the economic nerve center of the state and also the most populated located in the southern end of the state. The state has a total land area of 16,842 square kilometres (6,503 sq mi). Delta State has scores of attractions that are simply compelling.             FOCUS ON CROSS RIVERS STATE CULTURE AND TOURISM Cross River State is a coastal state in South South Nigeria, named after the Cross River, which passes through the state. Located in the Niger Delta , Cross River State occupies 20,156 square kilometers. It shares boundaries with Benue State to the north, Ebonyi and Abia States to the west, to the east by Cameroon Republic and to the south by Akwa-Ibom and the Atlantic Ocean . The South-South State was created on May 27, 1967 from the former Eastern Region, Nigeria by the General Yakubu Gowon regime. Its name was changed to Cross River State in the 1976 state creation exercise by the then General Murtala Mohammed regime from South Eastern State. [2] :222 The present day Akwa Ibom State was excised from it in the state creation exercise of September 1987 by the then regime of General Ibrahim Babangida. Its capital is Calabar . The company also said currency controls in Venezuela made it impossible for airlines to convert their earnings into dollars and send the money abroad. Venezuela's economy has been hit hard by a sharp drop in the price of oil - the country's main source of income. Venezuela has high inflation and severe shortages of basic goods. In a statement, Lufthansa said that it "will be forced to suspend our service between Caracas and Frankfurt as of 18 June". It noted that the demand for international flights to Venezuela had dropped in 2015 and in the first quarter o

                          Focus on Benue State Culture and tourism   Benué is a state in the mid-belt region of Nigeria with a population of about 4,253,641 in 2006 census . It is inhabited predominantly by the Tiv and Idoma peoples, who speak the Tiv language and Idoma , respectively. There are other ethnic groups, including the Igede , Etulo, Abakwa, [2] Jukun , Hausa , Igbo , Akweya and Nyifon. With its capital at Makurdi , Benué is a rich agricultural region; some of the crops grown there are potatoes, cassava , soya bean , guinea corn , flax , yams , sesame , rice, and grand nuts. Benué State is named after the Benué River and was formed from the former Benue-Plateau State in 1976, along with Igala and some part of Kwara State . In 1991 some areas of Benué state (mostly Igala area), along with areas in Kwara State , were carved out to become part of the new Kogi State . The daily route from Houston to Lagos had underachieved for years but was kept alive because of its importance to Texas-based customers, United Continental Holdings Inc. said in a note to employees Wednesday. The last flight will be June 30, after which Delta Air Lines Inc. will be the only major U.S. carrier flying to Africa.
