Celebrating the 53rd African day

The event too place yesterday 25th may 2015 at the prestigious Sheraton hotel Abuja with so much fun, most African countries like South Africa, Zambia, Ethiopia, Eygpt, Liberia etc.
Every country came with their delicacies and it was really exciting.
It is really great to have a united Africa.

 Nigerian black soup, also known as draw soup or bitter leaf soup, is a popular Nigerian dish made with bitter leaves and a variety of ingredients. Info The origin of the name Idoma remained a mystery but some believe that there was once a man called Idu Oma who is the father of all Idoma people.The Idoma people once lived as a community in Apa, a place north east of the present Idoma land located in what is now southern Adamawa and Nothern Taraba. Evidence showed that the Idoma people have lived around the Benue valley for more than 3,000 years. Another mysterious idomoid people known as Akpoto were noticed to be the earliest inhabitants of the region occupied today by Idoma, Tiv, Igala, Ebira and Basa. Nigeria Airline suspends plans to stop flights

  The sudden hike is majorly caused by Russian invasion of Ukraine at the end of   February and has made it unsustainable for Nigerian Airlines as stated by AON (Airline Operators of Nigeria). Flights have resumed and airlines are currently Operating normally as negotiation is on going with the Federal Government. Abuja Airport however experienced some service disruption because of some passengers who expressed their anger because of delayed flights.

About Oguta and Orashi river in Imo state

One of such wonders is hiding in  Nigeria , in Imo  state, within the rainforests of the  Niger-Delta . In Imo State, there are two angry rivers flow side-by-side without ever coming together, namely Oguta Lake and Orashi river. Water flows into it mainly from the Njaba river and to a lesser degree, the  Uju ,  Awbana  and  Urashi   rivers. It is two of these rivers that flow side-by-side, parallel to each other, without ever coming together. Bar Beach Lagos, Nigeria.

  Bar Beach was a very popular tourist site some Years back especially during festive seasons. These young stars shared their talent of rapping with me. It is on the Atlantic Ocean along Lagos shoreline. Bar Beach is situated at Victoria Island, Lagos State Nigeria.   A little history of the beach : It was actually a venue where armed robbers and Coup plotters were executed by firing squad in the 70’s. From the 80’s it started overflowing its banks, which resulted to flooding that led to loss of lives and properties. In 2000’s the serving Governor of Lagos state, commissioned   EKO Atlantic city, 2016 precisely.   Eko Atlantic city is currently sited on Bar Beach with a plan of Building residential and business district which will occupy 10million Square meters with 8.5kilometer long sea wall.
