Nigerian Government move on airport concession!

As a tried and tested method of improving the facilities and services in other developed part of the world, the Nigerian government is also looking at introducing same system to the aviation industry in Nigeria.
These are some of the known positive impact:

1. Provision of infrastructure, improved services and employment.

2. Faster solution to infrastructural problems and Improved service delivery.

3. Efficiency.

4. All international standards and recommended practices will be adhered.

5. With this, the airport operation will be approached as a business which will enhance service delivery.

6. The travelers will enjoy varieties

7. Security at the airport will improve.

8. Other airlines will indicate interest, which will make accessing various parts of the world easier..

British Airways launches longest long-haul flight to Santiago, Chile British Airways is launching the only direct flight between London and Santiago, Chile from January 3rd, 2017. Santiago will become the airline’s lengthiest long-haul route, taking 14 hours 40 minutes, nearly an hour more than the current longest flight of 13 hours 50 minutes service to Buenos Aires. The four-a-week flight will be served by the airline’s newest aircraft, the four-cabin Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, complete with a new First cabin. Santiago will be the latest destination in Latin America to join British Airways’ route network.  The airline recently launched new services to San Jose in Costa Rica and Lima in Peru.           The Ogbunike Cave The Ogbunike Caves are in Ogbunike , Anambra State, southeastern Nigeria. Located in a valley blanketed by tropical rain forest, the collection of caves has been in use over centuries by local people for whom it has particular spiritual significance. This spiritual significance is still apparent, as the “Ime Ogba” celebration is undertaken every year to commemorate the discovery of the caves.    Descending into the valley where the caves are located is a lengthy walkway made up of about 317 steps said to have been constructed by the Anambra State Government in the mid 90s.    DELTA AIRLINE EXPANDS Two weeks after Delta Air Lines started service between Edinburgh and New York-JFK, the US airline has announced it will double its Scottish network in summer 2017 when it begins flying between Glasgow and the Big Apple. The service, which will begin on May 26th, 2017, will be the only non-stop fight between Glasgow and New York-JFK and will operate daily throughout the summer. From JFK, customers will have a choice of 60 same-day onward connections throughout the United States, including the popular cities of Los Angeles, Orlando and San Francisco.
