Nigerian Airports becoming safer

United Nation just concluded a training session with the Nigerian Airport personnel on counter terrorism.
Nigeria was chosen to be the first to be trained due to her effort in fighting terrorism in recent times.
It is expected that the trained personnel will carry out their duties excellently as a result of the training.
They had the opportunity of being exposed to top notch security gadgets and procedures.

Two training centers for Counter terrorism are to be established in Nigeria, and will be located in Zaria and Lagos State.

About Oguta and Orashi river in Imo state

One of such wonders is hiding in  Nigeria , in Imo  state, within the rainforests of the  Niger-Delta . In Imo State, there are two angry rivers flow side-by-side without ever coming together, namely Oguta Lake and Orashi river. Water flows into it mainly from the Njaba river and to a lesser degree, the  Uju ,  Awbana  and  Urashi   rivers. Debris found in search for missing Egypt Air MS804 The Egyptian military has located debris from crashed EgyptAir flight MS804 in the Mediterranean. Military units from Greece, France, Egypt and the UK have been scouring the Mediterranean near the Greek island of Karpathos following the disappearance of the flight yesterday. The Airbus 320 had been en route from Paris to Cairo with 66 passengers and crew on board. French President Francois Hollande said the plane likely crashed on route to the Egyptian capital. Greece defence minister Panos Kammenos added it appeared the plane made two sharp turns before plunging into the Mediterranean Sea. First Airport run by solar power in Africa

George Airport is located at the heart of the Western Cape’s Garden Route; a fashionable holiday destination and home to many of South Africa’s most affluent residents.  It handles over 600,000 passengers a year, many of them tourists, but it's also a national distribution hub for cargo such as flowers, fish, oysters, herbs and ferns. George Airport is the first in Africa to be powered by solar energy. It is expected to harness 41% of its energy from the sun. The facility started with 3000 photovoltaic modules and will increase its capacity gradually to deliver 750kw power at full production.          I will say a big congratulations to the South Africa Government for this accomplishment.

DELTA AIR EXPANDS SCOTLAND FLIGHTS

   DELTA AIRLINE EXPANDS Two weeks after Delta Air Lines started service between Edinburgh and New York-JFK, the US airline has announced it will double its Scottish network in summer 2017 when it begins flying between Glasgow and the Big Apple. The service, which will begin on May 26th, 2017, will be the only non-stop fight between Glasgow and New York-JFK and will operate daily throughout the summer. From JFK, customers will have a choice of 60 same-day onward connections throughout the United States, including the popular cities of Los Angeles, Orlando and San Francisco. The flight will be operated in conjunction with partners Virgin Atlantic Airways and this new service adds to Virgin’s seasonal service from Glasgow to Orlando. “As a core component of our global strategy, we are eager to build our network across the UK and this new flight shows our commitment to Scotland,” said Dwight James, Delta senior vice president trans-Atlantic. “With this service, Delta...
