Abuja Airport closure

Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport will be shut down from 8th March to April 2017. All international flights will be routed through Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos.

The closure is for the renovation of the run way. This is a good initiative by the Federal Government of Nigeria to ensure the safety of air travelers.

          The Ogbunike Cave The Ogbunike Caves are in Ogbunike , Anambra State, southeastern Nigeria. Located in a valley blanketed by tropical rain forest, the collection of caves has been in use over centuries by local people for whom it has particular spiritual significance. This spiritual significance is still apparent, as the “Ime Ogba” celebration is undertaken every year to commemorate the discovery of the caves.    Descending into the valley where the caves are located is a lengthy walkway made up of about 317 steps said to have been constructed by the Anambra State Government in the mid 90s. British Airways launches longest long-haul flight to Santiago, Chile British Airways is launching the only direct flight between London and Santiago, Chile from January 3rd, 2017. Santiago will become the airline’s lengthiest long-haul route, taking 14 hours 40 minutes, nearly an hour more than the current longest flight of 13 hours 50 minutes service to Buenos Aires. The four-a-week flight will be served by the airline’s newest aircraft, the four-cabin Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, complete with a new First cabin. Santiago will be the latest destination in Latin America to join British Airways’ route network.  The airline recently launched new services to San Jose in Costa Rica and Lima in Peru. PROTEA HOTELS GROUP EXPANDING TO BOTSWANA

Protea Hotels is signing agreements for the development of its first hotel in Botswana, the ninth country in Africa in which the brand will have a presence.
