George Airport is located at the heart of the Western Cape’s Garden Route; a fashionable holiday destination and home to many of South Africa’s most affluent residents.

 It handles over 600,000 passengers a year, many of them tourists, but it's also a national distribution hub for cargo such as flowers, fish, oysters, herbs and ferns.

George Airport is the first in Africa to be powered by solar energy. It is expected to harness 41% of its energy from the sun. The facility started with 3000 photovoltaic modules and will increase its capacity gradually to deliver 750kw power at full production.

Dubai Tourism offers conditional welcome to Airbnb Dubai Tourism and Airbnb have signed a memorandum of understanding to help promote responsible hosting and help grow and diversify tourism in the emirate. It follows the introduction of enhanced regulations last month that make obtaining a ‘holiday home’ license more streamlined for individual tenants and homeowners who want to rent their homes to guests. The deal will bolster collaboration between the two parties and help enhance and diversify the emirate’s holiday home sector, boosting competition through a safe and transparent holiday home segment.  Under the agreement, Airbnb will cooperate with Dubai Tourism on preventing breaches of the regulation by informing all host members of the Dubai Tourism regulations via its website and through email reminders of the rules. Planning a North Korea trip? Don't, says the State Dept Washington (CNN) - The State Department is urging any American thinking of a trip to reclusive North Korea to think again. And they're doing it in an unusually blunt and direct fashion. The agency usually issues travel warnings every six months on a variety of countries, but recent legislation now requires it to issue travel warnings about North Korea every 90 days. The department issued its first travel warning under the new law Friday and doubled down with a four-page statement that makes it clear that Americans travel to North Korea at their own peril. The State Department strongly urges U.S. citizens to avoid all travel to North Korea, the warning states, before going on to list all the ways it is possible to get into trouble, including "showing disrespect" to the country's current or former leaders, taking unauthorized photographs and shopping at stores not designated for foreigners. What is the current security situation in Istanbul?
