Heathrow is having a new plan for the airport.


A total of 35.7 million passengers used Heathrow in first six months of 2016, up 0.6 per cent from the same period of last year.

At the same time, cargo volumes increased 1.7 per cent.

Strong financial performance was also recorded at the airport, with revenue up one per cent to £1,320 million and Adjusted EBITDA up 4.4 per cent to £781 million.

 “Now Britain needs a positive post-Brexit plan and only Heathrow expansion will help Britain to be one of the world’s leading trading nations – connecting all of Britain to global growth,” added Holland-Kaye.

“Heathrow has a new plan for expansion, allowing the prime minister to make the right choice in the national interest.”

   DELTA AIRLINE EXPANDS Two weeks after Delta Air Lines started service between Edinburgh and New York-JFK, the US airline has announced it will double its Scottish network in summer 2017 when it begins flying between Glasgow and the Big Apple. The service, which will begin on May 26th, 2017, will be the only non-stop fight between Glasgow and New York-JFK and will operate daily throughout the summer. From JFK, customers will have a choice of 60 same-day onward connections throughout the United States, including the popular cities of Los Angeles, Orlando and San Francisco. One of such wonders is hiding in  Nigeria , in Imo  state, within the rainforests of the  Niger-Delta .   BRIEF HISTORY IGEDE is an ethnic group in Nigeria mostly found in Benue and Cross River state. Other IGEDE can be found in Ebonyi and Ekiti state. Jamaican  local producers to boost tourism Jamaica minister of tourism Edmund Bartlett is urging local manufacturers to boost local production to meet the growing demand of the island’s vibrant tourism sector. The minister issued the charge as he outlined the findings of the Tourism Linkages Network’s tourism demand study to members of the manufacturing industry at the Duke Street offices of the Jamaica Manufacturers Association. The study indicates that the annual leakage, due to imports, amounts to $65.4 billion in the manufacturing sector. The study also reveals that there is a gap of some $41 billion of unfulfilled demand for select manufactured items as only J$24 billion in demand is now being met locally. The categories of items which contribute most to this gap are: apparel, accessories, textiles, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and office stationery.
