Home cooking is man’s cultural and traditional heritage that promotes family bonding. It is apparent that eating healthy meals helps to maintain a healthy lifestyle, which in turn boosts our productivity. However due to the many challenges of life, it is increasingly becoming a difficult task for many people, both young and old, to maintain proper feeding habits in their homes. Not necessarily because they can't afford to cook good meals, but because majority of people, don’t create time to plan their meals. As a result, we are faced with the dilemma, of having teenagers, youths, adults, working class parents, finding it very difficult to enter the kitchen to cook authentic meals. When they attempt to; they either fall-short or are at loss of what and how to cook. FoodGuide is meant to educate people on healthy authentic African recipes that encourages home cooking for beginners, intermediates and established cooks.

We promote food tourism; healthy food; cultural food; innovative food; African cuisines and spices. We also educate you on food nutrition, hygiene, and how to improve and manage the home front. Our articles are constructively designed to be entertaining, inspiring and educative.

About Oguta and Orashi river in Imo state

One of such wonders is hiding in  Nigeria , in Imo  state, within the rainforests of the  Niger-Delta . In Imo State, there are two angry rivers flow side-by-side without ever coming together, namely Oguta Lake and Orashi river. Water flows into it mainly from the Njaba river and to a lesser degree, the  Uju ,  Awbana  and  Urashi   rivers. It is two of these rivers that flow side-by-side, parallel to each other, without ever coming together. Oguta Lake is a lean finger lake formed by the damming of the lower Njaba river, it is the largest natural lake, it is popularly known as Ogbuide while Orashi is a river of the lower Niger River basin, and a tributary of Oguta Lake and they are both in Imo State, Southeastern Nigeria The Mystery behind Orashi and Ogbuide: 2 Igbo Rivers that cannot come together no matter how you try. However the Lake Consist of two very angry rivers, called Orashi and Ogbuide. The two rivers can never mix no matter how you try, and they also has different colour.

Marriage in Tiv land Tiv (sometimes pronounced as Tivi) is an ethno-linguistic group or nation in West Africa. They number approximately thirteen million two hundred thousand individuals in Nigeria and Cameroon. In Nigeria, most speakers are found in Benue, Nasarawa and Taraba .
